as defined by a local site, TM Travel & Tours :
"A Traditional Malay Ceremony celebrated for the new born baby.
This occasion is celebrated by Malay Community whereby a newly born baby born will celebrate on the 7th. day of birth with a "Kendury" of "Aqiqah" . In this celebration if the baby is a boy, 2 goats will be cut while only one goat for a baby girl. In that ceremony the parents of the baby will invite all neighbors from the village depending on the status of the family for Custom recital and sumptuous feast.
The peak of the celebration is whereby the baby will be pass from one person to another in their arm cradled cutely in the big circle and the baby will be sprinkled with holy water with "bunga rampai" , a certain portion of the baby's hair will be cut (cukur Jambul) and the baby's mouth with be sprinkled with holy water and sweet / sour / salty food as symbol of knowing and experiencing the new life.
While the above occasion is taking place, there will be a singing of " Marhaban" (Custom recitals).
After that, all invited guests will be invited for brunch or high tea and these guests will be given "Bunga Telur "as a gift while leaving the occasion. "
2 weeks after his birth, my in-law's family decided to do the cukur jambul ceremony and aqiqah on the same day. in my case, it was 2 goats alright and there's no 'certain portion' of the hair that will be cut, in fact all of them were cut! ( according to sunnah ). and as in sunnah, only the cutting of the baby's hair is highly emphasized and important. thus, that was the only thing that azril went through for the day. hehehe  quite nervous though, especially when the scalp is soooooooo lembut. adoi...!
alhamdulillah azril has become kojak jr, but tiny hair are fast appearing. now he's not so kojak anymore. hahaha

+ introducing pretty peektures' latest family member! heheh +

+ it started out after the man U vs chelsea game last sunday ( bengong punya man U, chelsea yg tak perform pun takleh tibai... heheheh ) .. as i was juuuuust about to tuck myself in bed at 2.30am, effa started to complain she can't sleep. not suspecting anything, dengan selambenya i asked her to try jugak to get some sleep and maybe it was just a mild food poisoning from the mamak restaurant we went the previous night. come 4.30am, effa started to felt more pain and as a mithali husband.. , i asked her to pack some stuff and off we went to SJMC.. initially to check whether if its food poisoning! ( hahahaha )
as the nurse checked her condition, we got the shock when the nurse said effa was already 3 cm and into labour! what!!! our little precious was supposedly due this coming dec 18. and so, the 9- hours plus drama starts and alhamdulillah at 2.17pm, our little baby boy has been safely delivered through normal procedures.... shukur alhamdulillah...
would like to say thanks on behalf of my wife and i for those yang managed to drop by at SJMC. my koleq frens, effa's stf friends, friends, relatives and many others. thank u for the gifts toooo!!!! hehehehehe ( thats the best part! hehehe )
feels like soooo malas to shoot this december. hahaha.. feels like wanna be with min jr. all the time! ) anyway, in conjunction with Wan Azril Zafri's birth, his papa would like to introduce a special package spesel for newborns / toddlers! and for previous clients of pretty peektures, cam biaselah ade diskaun! woohoo!! hehehe.. just wait for that one.. coming soon!!! +

+ the family of pretty peektures seldom got the chance to be peektugraphed together... so yesterday i really tried my best to rope alll the guys together. eventhough the three of us made it, rashid couldn't make it however. irfan or sab as our team leader for videography was also not available. next time la ekk.. guys!
anyway these shots will be included in our up coming webbie. just to introduce who we are, we hope with this, our clients will know who will be their peektugrapher beforehand and not to be confused with anyone else 
anyway guys.. i hope i could get the website up sooooon.. till then, chop!! chop!!

insyaallah if everything goes fine, this coming december, im finally gonna be called 'papa'! heheheh..
such an undescriptive feeling. furthermore with such a drastic action i just took a week ago ( i've released my fulltime job at a local U to focus more on prettypeeks ), i guess i have to be double serious now. got to develop this new set up ( along to maintain all its staff ) and at the same time the responsibility to raise a child. phew! ( already sweating while typing this! ). my highest gratitute to my lovely & loyal supporter, who else but the mama-to-be herself. thank you for your belief in me & pretty peektures! luv ya hon!
alhamdulillah effa is doing fine. eventhough her morning sickness is quite teruk, thank God she's a strong woman and managed to went through all those full-of-vomiting nights and doing fine so far. hope everything shall be fine for next few months, amin!
with the newly set up pretty peektures, the resposibility that shall came along with the much-awaited min Jr., insyaallah, i hope, i can manage to pull these off, successfully. amin! ... heheheh.

+ went to shoot for nana & faizal yesterday! man! really missed the time when doing norzie and aidid's! ahahaha. apa taknya, with all the berebut angles thingy ( since there are 5 official wedding photographers not including press etc! ) ... it was great deal of fun!
truly sorry as i couldn't upload her peeks dulu for u guys to view. had to settle my long list of clients' peeks on fotopages first, then baru turn nana. heheheh.. till then, jenguk2 lah juga at my other FP to have some preview of the akad nikah day. too bad i couldn't attend the reception day as i had to leave for perlis for another client's akad nikah & reception. anyway, insyaallah u can view nana's reception day's peeks at her other official's FP : my photographer. cool lads!

and alhamdulillah again there's another client of pretty peeks, jue & irwan ( baik-baik belaka client2 pretty peeks nie, heheheh ), who are willing to kasi tumpang to us! heheheh! and we're also delivering their album, the first of its kind ( and soon to be advertised at our fotopage! hehehe ) - CLASSIC ALBUM! mounted on 20 pages of black acid-free papers, each pic are inkjet printed and individually laminated. this album is huge!... 14 inch x 14 inch and the covers are made from solid wood. its heavy ok! just imagine hand-luggage them from kl to manchester, then to london and then to dublin. phew! hahaha...
will put up few peeks from dublin soon. till then!....c ya!!! +

+ yeay, alhamdulillah me n effa safely touched down in london from manchester... again! heheheh ( not really touch down, naik mega bus aje.. akaka )..
if in manchester me and wifey were entertained by our previous clients, syrrun and mira ( and not to forget our host, kak zie and abg rizal whom are sis and bro-in-law to our previous client, halim shah ), here in london we are staying with another client of pretty peeks ( well, 'future' client... hehehe ), akmal or known among her stf frens as 'pye'. she's staying with a housemate, the cool wawa. naseb baiikkkk ramai yg bersangkut paut dengan pretty peeks kat UK nie.. hehehehe. she is working in UK and getting married soon in august. just wait for her peeks here!
last year we have covered many interesting places in london and this time around, me n wifey are just taking our own sweet time enjoying this great city. perhaps compensating for all the lost weekends we should have spent together ( as i had to shoot weddings , of coz.. )... hehehe
